Amin Joseph, Derek Luke, Jonathan Tucker, And Ethan Suplee Join Hulu’s ‘Southern Bastards’; Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor To Guest Star
Hulu’s upcoming drama ‘Southern Bastards’ is assembling a star-studded cast. Amin Joseph, Derek Luke, Jonathan Tucker, and Ethan Suplee have joined the main cast alongside leads Kevin Bacon, Erin Kellyman, and Tim McGraw. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor will appear in a guest-starring role.
The series follows a determined military veteran (Kellyman) who travels to Craw County, Alabama, in search of her estranged father (Bacon), only to uncover a violent web of organized crime led by the South’s most successful high school football coach (McGraw).
‘Southern Bastards’ is written by Bill Dubuque, based on the 2014 graphic novel series by Jason Aaron and Jason Latour, with Reinaldo Marcus Green set to direct. The series is produced by Onyx Collective, POV Entertainment, and Proximity Media, in association with Fifth Season.
Executive producers include Dubuque alongside Matt Olmstead, who will serve as showrunner, as well as Aaron, Latour, and Green. Additional executive producers include Layne Eskridge for POV Entertainment and Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler for Proximity Media. Simone Harris and Kate Barry serve as co-executive producers, with Hannah Baker and D’Angelo Louis overseeing the project.
