Sheldon Candis’ new boxing drama ‘They Fight’ made its official world premiere yesterday at the Tribeca Film Festival, coinciding with the release of its first trailer.
The trailer highlights an emotional quest for redemption as André Holland plays Walt Manigan, a reformed ex-convict and skilled boxer fighting to rebuild his family and lead two young athletes (Anthony B. Jenkins and Toussaint Francois Battiste) to the U.S. Junior Olympic Team under Coach Slim’s (Wendell Pierce) mentorship. The impressive ensemble also includes Samira Wiley, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Andre Royo, Mykelti Williamson, Tory J. Malone, Tinashe Kajese-Bolden, and Amanda Warren.
