Beyoncé, Venus Williams Among 2026 Met Gala Co-Chairs; Zoë Kravitz To Co-Chair Host Committee; Angela Bassett, Teyana Taylor Among Members
The 2026 Met Gala takes place next month at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, where a slew of fashion icons will gather for the opulent, ‘Costume Art’-themed fundraising event.
Leading this year’s event are co-chairs Beyoncé, Venus Williams, Nicole Kidman, and Anna Wintour.
Zoë Kravitz will co-chair the Gala’s Host Committee alongside Anthony Vaccarello, with members including Angela Bassett, Teyana Taylor, Misty Copeland, A’ja Wilson, Yseult, and Tschabalala Self. The broader committee also features Doja Cat, Sabrina Carpenter, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, LISA, Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Lauren Wasser, Anna Weyant, as well as newly announced members Adut Akech, Sinéad Burke, Rebecca Hall, Aimee Mullins, Amy Sherald, and Chase Sui Wonders.
This year’s dress code, ‘Fashion Is Art,’ invites guests to express their personal relationship to fashion as an embodied art form while celebrating depictions of the dressed body throughout art history.
Proceeds from the Gala serve as The Costume Institute’s primary source of annual funding, supporting exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, and operations, while also benefiting the Museum’s broader programming.
