Colman Domingo To Star In Francis Lee’s Psychological Thriller ‘The Servant,’ With Nicholas Hoult, Noah Jupe, And Emma Corrin
Emmy Award winner Colman Domingo joins a star-studded lineup for Francis Lee’s upcoming project, ‘The Servant.’ He stars alongside Nicholas Hoult, Noah Jupe, and Emma Corrin in a powerhouse four-person ensemble exploring complex psychological relationships and deep-seated issues of social class. The film serves as a modern reimagining of the iconic 1963 British drama originally directed by Joseph Losey and screenwriter Harold Pinter.
The film is a “psychological thriller set in 1950’s New York about Tony (Hoult), an entitled British man who moves into a beautiful apartment on Central Park and becomes embroiled in a wicked power play with his manservant, Barrett (Domingo).”
The project was written by Francis Lee, who will also direct. Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin are producing for Blueprint Pictures, alongside executive producers Ben Knight and Diarmuid McKeown. Joining them is Farhana Bhula, who will executive-produce on behalf of Film4. International sales are currently being handled by French studio mk2 at the Cannes Market, with principal photography officially scheduled to begin in January 2027.
