Cord Jefferson To Direct Netflix Series Adaptation Of Jonathan Franzen's 'The Corrections' Starring Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep is set to lead The Corrections, a darkly funny family drama based on The Corrections. The story centers on a fractured Midwestern family as three troubled adult siblings try to avoid coming home for one final Christmas reunion orchestrated by their mother.
Fresh off his Oscar win for American Fiction, Cord Jefferson will executive produce and direct the full series, with Paramount Television Studios backing the project.
Jonathan Franzen is adapting his bestselling novel for the screen and will also executive produce alongside Streep, Jefferson, Mark Roybal, Paul Lee, and Nicole Clemens.
At the center of the story is Enid’s push to bring her family together one last time as personal crises, emotional baggage, and Alfred’s declining health threaten to pull everything apart.
