Issa Rae is expanding into the fast-growing microdrama space with Hoorae Media’s first short-form scripted series, Screen Time.
The new project comes through a content partnership with TikTok, with additional micro-series also set to be developed for exclusive release on TikTok and PineDrama.
Speaking during TheWrap’s Creators x Hollywood Summit, Rae shared that the series was created with today’s viewing habits in mind, as audiences continue to embrace quick, mobile-first storytelling.
Rae also noted that Hoorae is focused on staying culturally relevant by creating content that can become part of people’s everyday lives.
