Jemarcus Kilgore and his production company, Kilgore Studios, have announced that his short film, ‘Darren And Anissa’ will officially have it’s world premiere at Bronzelens this August.
‘Darren And Anissa’ is a Southern Romantic Comedy short written by Jemarcus Kilgore (All’s Fair) and directed by Candy McLellan. The short acts as a proof of concept for a feature film penned by Kilgore and producer Autumn Bailey-Ford has recently signed on to executive produce. The short film is shot by SCAD Alumni and Director of Photography, Rachel Olivia Taylor.
‘Darren and Anissa’ is a coming of age rom-com that take inspiration from Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, that highlights the beautiful culture of Southern Black Cowboys. This beautiful romantic comedy takes us on a journey of adventure, forgiveness, friendship, and love.
