JUCCEE Shorts Unveils Inaugural Creator Cohort And First Slate Of Original Vertical Microdramas
JUCCEE Shorts, the vertical storytelling platform built for Black and brown audiences, today announced its Round 1 creator cohort and debut slate of original scripted microdramas, ahead of the platform’s full launch in November 2026.
Built on a story-first philosophy, JUCCEE pairs bingeable, emotionally driven microdramas with a creator-development model that unites production and education, an ecosystem designed to grow new voices, not just content.
The Round 1 cohort includes seven creative teams now in active production on original titles, including Deadline, The House Won’t Let Me Leave, and more. Each team is developing vertical microdramas while progressing through JUCCEE’s structured creator program, which is designed to prepare creators and production teams to deliver high-performing vertical series for the JUCCEE launch slate.

The announcement arrives as JUCCEE prepares for its November 2026 platform debut. To follow the cohort’s journey and get early access, visit jucceeshorts.com.
‘TRAPPED’ is a JUCCEE original vertical written and directed by Marquelle Young that will be included on our platform this fall.
About JUCCEE Shorts
JUCCEE Shorts is a vertical drama platform delivering bingeable, emotionally driven scripted microdramas rooted in culture and community.
For years, the vertical space has exploded globally, but Black and brown creators have largely been left out of the conversation, the funding, the education, and the ownership. JUCCEE exists to change that.
We’re not just teaching people how to shoot vertical content. We’re teaching teams how to create stories that retain audiences, build IP, generate revenue, and expand what Black storytelling can look like in this format. That means thrillers, horror, mystery, sci-fi, psychological dramas, crime, suspense and romance too. Learn more at jucceeshorts.com.
