Legendary three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Keith David was honored today with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, celebrating the milestone alongside his 70th birthday. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presented the honor to recognize David’s extraordinary career, which spans more than 45 years across film, television, and stage.

The ceremony was hosted by Ryan Michelle Bathé, with acclaimed director John Carpenter offering special remarks to honor his longtime collaborator. Lynn Whitfield and John C. McGinley were among the notable attendees who joined Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez to celebrate the acclaimed actor’s achievements.
During the event, David delivered a powerful and emotional acceptance speech, saying: “What you’re bearing witness to today is a man living his dream. Today is a great day. To all and any of you who have a dream to be an actor or singer or artist of any kind, just keep dreaming. It can and does come true. And most importantly, I want to say to you, don’t quit before the blessing.”
From all of us at TheBlkScript, congratulations to Keith David on this incredible and well-deserved honor!
