“How hard would you fight to stay alive?” This life-or-death question drives the pulse-pounding new trailer for Lionsgate’s upcoming sci-fi survival thriller, ‘Above the Below,’ starring Idris Elba.
When three astronauts survive a catastrophic re-entry from space, their damaged capsule plunges deep into the ocean. Trapped under water with rapidly depleting oxygen, the crew is forced to make agonizing life-or-death decisions about who will attempt a perilous ascent to the surface and who must stay behind.
Idris Elba leads the ensemble cast alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Caitlin FitzGerald, and Isla Jackson-Ritchie. Behind the camera, ‘Above the Below’ is co-directed by Elba and Martin Owen, with a screenplay written by Matt Mitchell, Elizabeth Morris, and Vicki Sargent.
