The highly anticipated four-part crime drama series ‘Route 187,’ created by Mark E. Swinton and executive produced by Tyler Perry, has officially made its debut on Paramount+.
Anchored in the struggling, fictional town of South Winslow, the series centers on local residents reliant on the city’s central transit line. The story kicks off when the violent killings of a city bus driver and a star high school athlete spark public fury, launching law enforcement into a high-stakes search for the suspects captured on camera. However, as detectives dig deeper, the double homicide uncovers a chilling connection to a long-running string of missing Black women and a killer who remains at large.
The series features an ensemble cast led by Chris Livingston, Taivion Leandré, Elijah Collins, Tonia Jackson, Rico Ball, Lawrence Robinson, Rona Dana, Javen Lewis, and Swinton himself. The lineup also includes Erika Pinkett, Jesse Lewis IV, Bryce Clyde Jenkins, Clark Moore, Nicky Buggs, Kerby Collins, Josef Cannon, Alphonso A’Qen-Aten Jackson, Braxton Beth, Khristee Love, Cuyle Carvin, and more.
Created, written, and directed by Swinton, ‘Route 187’ is executive produced by Swinton and Perry, with Asante White, Armani Ortiz, and Deance’ Wyatt producing.
