Martin Bats Bradford (Hit Man, Darwin) and Erika Ringor (Love & Basketball, King Richard) are among four new additions joining David Gordon Green’s upcoming prison action-thriller ‘Supermax’ for Amazon MGM Studios.
Bradford and Ringor step into the cast alongside fellow new additions Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Andrés Almeida, joining previously announced leads Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb, as well as cast members Jaafar Jackson and Jason Clarke.
‘Supermax’ follows two FBI agents (Smith and Robb) assigned to investigate a high-profile murder inside a maximum-security prison.
David Gordon Green is directing from a script by David Weil and David J. Rosen, both of whom also serve as executive producers. Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman produce for The Picture Company, alongside Will Smith and Adam Fishbach through Westbrook Studios.
Executive producers include Westbrook Studios’ James Lassiter and Miguel Melendez, alongside Miramax’s executive team: CEO Jonathan Glickman, President of Film Alexandra Loewy, COO Thom Zadra, and SVP Spencer Ela. Natalie Laine Williams serves as associate producer.
Production officially began yesterday in New South Wales, Australia, with support from the NSW Government through Screen NSW’s Made in NSW Fund.
