Season 2 of ‘Diarra From Detroit’ is set to make its debut this summer on Wednesday, July 29, with a two-episode premiere on Paramount+, followed by weekly drops every Wednesday through September 9. Ahead of its release, Paramount+ dropped first-look photos of the eight-episode season, offering an early glimpse into the hilariously chaotic new chapter.

Ahead of the premiere, loglines reveal that season two wastes no time pulling its heroine back into chaos. When a routine furniture recovery spirals into a triple homicide investigation, Diarra Brickland (Diarra Kilpatrick) finds herself navigating a citywide treasure hunt, a secret society, and Detroit’s criminal underground—all while her romantic life remains unresolved. The season doubles down on the absurdist energy that made the first season a standout, promising an even wilder ride.
Diarra Kilpatrick returns to lead the series for its sophomore run, with series stars DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark, and Jon Chaffin. Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad, and Harry Lennix are also set to reprise their roles. The upcoming season also features a stacked lineup of new guest stars, including Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone, Shoniqua Shandai, Nicco Annan, Skilla Baby, Icewear Vezzo, Chris “CP” Powell, and Jude Demorest.
The show is created by Kilpatrick who executive produces alongside Kenya Barris and Miles Orion Feldsott, who also serves as showrunner. The series is produced by BET Studios and Khalabo Ink Society.
