Paramount Sets September 4 Release For ‘By Any Means’ Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Mark Wahlberg, Nicole Beharie, Giancarlo Esposito, And More
Elegance Bratton’s highly anticipated Civil Rights–era crime thriller ‘By Any Means’ is heading to theaters with a wide release from Paramount Pictures. The film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Mark Wahlberg, alongside Nicole Beharie, Giancarlo Esposito, David Strathairn, Josh Lucas, and Ethan Embry.
The film follows a “volatile partnership between a hardened mafia hitman and a young Black FBI agent, who are forced into an uneasy alliance to track down those responsible for the killing of civil rights leaders—uncovering a conspiracy that tests the limits of justice, loyalty, and survival.”
Sascha Penn wrote the screenplay. Producers include Elegance Bratton and Chester Algernal Gordon for their Freedom Principle banner, alongside Alex Lebovici for Hammerstone Studios; Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee for Thunder Road; and Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson for Municipal.
