Blumhouse and Universal Pictures have released the official trailer for Mike Flanagan’s upcoming supernatural horror feature ‘The Exorcist: Martyrs,’ starring Scarlett Johansson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Leguizamo, and Laurence Fishburne.
The film centers on Detective Julie Miller (Johansson) 13 years after she ended the murderous spree of satanic killer Father Sunday (Leguizamo). Dragged back into the darkness when her name is scrawled in an altar boy’s blood on a church crypt wall, Miller faces a new serial killer—a demonic entity targeting her 12-year-old son. Teaming up with former prison chaplain Father William (Ejiofor) and rookie Detective Gina Restrepo (Sasha Calle), she uncovers an ancient evil connecting legendary killers like H.H. Holmes, the Night Stalker, and the Zodiac across generations.
The ensemble cast also includes Diane Lane, Jacobi Jupe, Scoot McNairy, and Gil Bellows.
‘The Exorcist: Martyrs’ arrives in theaters on March 12, 2027.
