Anthony Mackie stars in Rupert Wyatt’s historical fiction epic ‘Desert Warrior,’ arriving in theaters April 24.
Set in 7th-century Arabia, the film centers on Hanzala (Mackie), an honorable and mysterious rogue who becomes an enemy of Emperor Kisra (Sir Ben Kingsley) after helping a fugitive King Numan (Ghassan Massoud) and his daughter, Princess Hind (Aiysha Hart), escape the ruthless ruler’s plan to make her his concubine. As the Battle of Ze Qar looms, the emperor dispatches his relentless mercenary commander, Jalabzeen (Sharlto Copley), to track them down as they flee across the vast Arabian desert.
