Sterling Hampton's 'Fenice' Featuring Sabrina Lassegue Honored For Best Documentary Storytelling At 30th Annual Webby Awards
Fenice announced today that it has been honored for Best Documentary Storytelling Video & Film In the 30th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.
“Fenice” is a short documentary film featuring multi-hyphenate creative and activist Sabrina Lassegue in her journey passing anti-sexual assault legislation banning the destruction of rape-kits in her hometown. Directed by Sterling Hampton. Produced by Joey Gutterman, Kelly Chen and Sabrina Lassegue. Cinematography by Adam Shattuck and Sterling Hampton. An Extinguished Youth, Clash of The Artistic Minds and Rosso Works Production.

We really wanted to tell the raw and honest truth about the struggles and challenges of the topic. Sabrina is one of the most courageous and talented people I’ve had to the honor of featuring in a short documentary format. About the Subject: Sabrina Lassegue is an actress, director, producer, model, writer & advocate. She is the founder of Extinguished Youth Productions, a movie studio & holdings company. She is best known for directing the award winning film, “All the Men’s Hangers” & acting in films like the upcoming, “Inauguration Day”. She has directed talent like Jamie Foxx and Keke Palmer.
About the Director: Sterling Hampton IV is an American film director, photographer, producer, writer, and composer from Southern California and a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient for 2025. He is the sole founder and CEO of Clash of the Artistic Minds (COTAM). Best known for his films, “Kylie” and “Merman” which screened at Sundance, Tribeca, AFI and Urbanworld, his feature-length documentary film “Twitch: The Story of Daniel Franco” and his upcoming feature-length narrative film; “Inauguration Day.” His roots are in documentary and narrative filmmaking. He has also been Webby nominated this year for his commercial with Merceds x will.i.am titled; “Mercedes-Benz FYI RAIDIO.”
