Teyana Taylor, also known as Spike Tey, is set to make her feature directorial debut with ‘Get Lite,’ a new joint for Paramount scheduled for release on April 9, 2027.
The story follows a talented yet sheltered dance student (Storm Reid) who finds inspiration, love, and a sense of family in one of the city’s most unsuspecting places: the New York City subway.
Reid stars in the film and also serves as a producer alongside Kenya Barris and Anni Weisband (Khalabo Ink Society), Robyn Simpson (A Seed & Wings Productions, Reid’s banner), and Bill Karesh (Offbrnd). Taylor will also executive produce.
